Gravis Update

February 25th, 2010

Y-O it’s Thurzday!

Gravis shoes (for Men and Women) are officially at Momentum 8th Street.

Personally I haven’t heard much about Gravis besides the collab they did with The Hundreds a while back, but I, and hopefully you are, pleasently surprised at what they have to offer. All the shoes are cliche clean and look nice with a nice incorporation of Canvas material (or what looks like Canvas). You can’t really go wrong with any of Gravis shoes or with any of their bags for that matter.

Gravis bags are also available at Momentum 8th Street. Just in case you crave a little bit of variation in your bag game, they come in various colors (the bags in the pictures are not colors we have, just the design).

In case some of you don’t know: Momentum Marketplace is a skateboard shop. Sure we sell those clothes you love, but we also want you to know we sell skateboards and all things associated (excluding helmets: we have bearings, wheels, boards, grip tape). In light of all this talk — for those who do not skate — Skateboarding is a real sport, takes skill (work + time), and is plenty of fun.

So if you happen to visit Momentum Marketplace in the near future and have an interest in skating; select Pro Model decks are on-sale for $59.99.

Just something soothing for the beginning of the week, I know I’m enjoying it.

Emerica

February 23rd, 2010

Extra extra, read all about it! Emerica has finally arrived at The Market — in good fashion to boot; going hard with these clean (synonym: elegant) spring shoes. A perfect selection for the upcoming months thus becoming a perfect addition to the Marketplace’s wall. Emerica is an established skate company with team-members such as Aaron Suski, Andrew Reynolds, Brandon Westgate, Braydon Szafranski and Bryan Herman (just to name a few). Expect plenty more goodies to be arriving in the near future, hopefully just as good or better as these 2 shoes.

Supra blew up in 2009 with models ranging from the lounging Cubans to the towering TK’s; but going further back is the Skytop, the poster-boy shoe of Supra. The Skytop is Chad Muska’s Signature shoe, and both figures are good at what they do: stylin’ on em and skatin’ on em (respectively). Thanks to the popularity of the Skytop, Supra spawned a new and improved, taller version, Chad Muska’s Skytop 2. Just arriving at Momentum Marketplace, the White leather version is now on our shelves; featuring a slimmer-form fitting silhouette, leather upper, tongue design with 2 pull holes, and a vulcanized sole. Supra has been known to be flashy and conservative, but this go around they take the reserved path (to some it could be standout) and keep it simple with a purely White colorway. Come grab yourself a pair (perfect Spring shoe) before they are all gone!

Skateable & Stylish.

Supra also hit us with a Purple Patent Skytop and Tie-Dye Muska Low, haha not much to say after hyping up the hyped Skytop..

Jordan Brand Spizike + VI’s

February 23rd, 2010

A new pair of Spizikes and Jordans have arrived at Momentum 8th Street.

This Spizike, being called the Mars Blackmon, features one of the more iconic (just like Mars) colorways: Black/Fire Red/White. One of the most basic most wearable Spizikes that have come through imo.

Jordan  Brand has  also[re-]released [Infrareds] a Black/Varsity Red Jordan 6 for your sneaker fiending enjoyment. While similar to 2000′s Retro Infrareds, these “Black/Varsity” Jordans have few differences: nubuck vs suede, and a slight color contrast. Worn by Mike when he won his first NBA Championship and 2nd MVP, these shoes are a part of Air Jordan history.
