LRG Update @ Outtabounds

June 30th, 2010

More Summer styles from LRG.

Once again they’re all on point with their reknowned graphic tees. The standout tee in my opinion is the Lion Strike — the use of triangles to make the image is plain ol’ dopeness.

Throughout the upper, leather and suede are both utilized alongside tonal grey panels. The ankle padding boasts a neat pattern which adds yet another texture to the build, and orange contrasts are obvious with the laces and midsole popping out. Nike’s trademark Swoosh and inner lining also contrast with their white colorways. Apparently these Dunks are an ode to the upcoming season of Fall, as they represent the aging of leaves.

I highly recommed you get yourself to Outtabounds to check out these new watches. We only have one watch in each of the styles displayed below, so once it is gone….it is GONE.

The Kensington Crystal is glam gone right, the Platform Drab is just a bleeping awesome watch and the Newton, ironically enough, makes you look ‘bright.’

Hopefully this early morning viewing of MTV’s Drake documentary sets your Friday off right. Topics discussed include: his fame, his mother, his process, his producer: 40, meeting Jay-Z, and the ups and downs of being Aubrey Drake Graham. An interesting watch which really shows how normal Drake really is but how fame makes someone change for obvious reasons.

Parts 2-7 after the jump…

Maestro Knows

June 24th, 2010

Fans of Maestro. We all feel the same way.

“You can’t film the team talk!”

“I don’t know what to call it, a show? A video?”

“I’m telling you, this World Cup is gonna do it.”

“What’s superb about the fact that your doing this is your eye, and as being an avid fan of Maestro Knows, your ability to capture certain moments or certain people. It’s not fabricated, what your doing is very authentic, so the partnership here in just filming the football at a grassroots level, at competition level, I think your eye and your vision gives it a great artistic flare.”

You’ll recognize Nigel in a few weeks when Maestro links up with him in NYC (Maestro Knows). In the meantime, here are some dope commercials created by Nigel & Glenn PP Milligan. Riding and bars (night), half empty bottles and bridges (Morning),  girls and boyfriends (Afternoon) — Nigel has hectic days.

Jake Davis Test Shots

June 24th, 2010

Jake Davis does a great job in selecting and capturing women with impeccable styl(e/ing). Katherine and Hayley are apart of Test Shots but in a collabarotive effort between Jake and Fashionista. The idea behind the Fashionista Test Shots is, “women pulling off menswear so much better than we [men] can”, and just like previous iterations, women really do. Julia isn’t apart of the Fashionista series, but she looks just as beautiful with her dress and Chuck Taylors on.

Hopefully these Test Shots help influence your style in subtle ways, instead of biting just reference their conception of  styling (ie. Wear sneakers with a dress).
