March is next month so in preparation for the NCAA’s March Madness, Nike is (as usual) putting forth their best foot. Nike initially commissioned a program called, “College Colors”, wherein Nike actually signed players and coaches to provide them with team specific Dunks which matched their uniforms. Fun fact for their day.

Nike – Men’s Air Max 90

February 1st, 2012

(325018-605)

Nike has being doing good work as of late with most of their new shoes. Like these 90s right here are much more practical and wearable than say this The orange accents add a pop of colour to an otherwise plain Air Max.

I ain’t mad at that.

Puma’s classic Clyde was recently updated by Undefeated and this was the end product of their collab. Three of the four colorways grace us with a reinvented toecap to prevent caving, added heel support, and an anti-microbial insole to accommodate sock-less wear.

These are the official Nike SBs for the month of February: the Janoski, Salazar, and P-Rod all have new colorways coming out.  The P-Rod 5 has an all-natural exterior; the new Omar Salazar LR, a tranquil dark obsidian with a white swoosh; and the popular Janoski model has THREE styles dropping this month including a Valentine’s Day themed Mid. We’re not even talking about quickstrikes either! Anyway, the blog will be updated with which specific models we get.

Celebrating the recent launch of the HUF x Haroshi x DLX collaboration, HUF hosted an Opening Ceremony showcasing the sculptures. Music was provided by Tommy Guerrero, Money Mark, Ray Barbee & Fredo Ortiz. After the live performance and beer consumption, what better way to end the night than an ollie contest over the Haroshi designed “Fire Hydrant”. Check out what went down. Enjoy!

Highsnobiety provides us with a behind-the-scenes look. Giovanni Luigi Reda provides us with the translation. Check out what Haroshi (…Giovanni Reda) has to say about the collaboration below…

For another behind-the-scenes recap, check out the Wednesday’s With Reda episodes below. Giovanni Reda always provides an entertaining perspective on things. Enjoy!  *Click each photo for the link

Real Skateboard’s Peter Ramondetta’s Arm, the tattoo’s are of exact placement. Haroshi burned the tattoos into the wood by hand. Sold at the Opening Ceremony for … $30,000.

The Spitfire wheel. Spins with the help of Spitfire Classics acting as a bearing. Sold for a remarkable $30,000.

The Guitar. Modeled around musician and co-founder of Real Skateboards, Tommy Guerrero. TG played a couple of sets during the end of the Opening Ceremony with this beaut.

The Dog. Real Skateboard’s Pro, Dennis Busenitz is not only known for his fast SF style skating but also for his spot companion, Gary the dog.

The fire hydrant has been used as an obstacle in skateboarding for years. Real Alumni and HUF owner, Keith Hufnagel made the fire hydrant famous. Yes, this too is made from skateboard decks.

To commemorate the art, all parts of the collaboration joined forces to design a capsule collection around the designs provided by the japanese sculptor. Deluxe designed the hardgoods; a set of Spitfire wheels, a “Ramondetta Arm” Real deck, and a Krooked “Huf Zinger” Deck. HUF took their luxury aesthetic roots to use to design a couple t-shirts, hats, a 3/4 baseball sleeve, a hoodie and a pair of Hufnagel Pro’s. Check out the one-of-a-kind limited edition Collection below.

The Collection is available @ Momentum Marketplace

*The apparel may be available in the future.
