Know What Else Is Red? eS.

Maybe only a handful of you know what that excerpt above is from but that’s okay. Jamal Smith said it here. Please, only watch it if you’ve seen Gaspar Noé’s second film. Now that eS has hopped on your train of thought, take a look below at the Mad Decent (top) and Diplo (bottom) collaborations. Fortunately (for me), they both come with a very informative description. Personally speaking though, I prefer the Diplo kicks because they say GULLY on the back heel.

Mad Decent is the name of the Philadelphia-based record label spearheaded by Wesley Pentz, whose better known as Diplo, the Grammy-nominated producer of M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes.” Diplo also makes up one half of Major Lazer, along with the UK’s Switch. As an influential label that’s home to Blaqstarr (who has also produced many tracks for M.I.A.), South Rakkas Crew, and Rusko (to name a few), Mad Decent is often ahead of the curve in new music. In this collaboration with eS, Diplo’s Erving model features a tonal black upper complimented by lime green hits on the eyelets, laces, and the diplodocus logo stitched on the heel. For the Mad Decent Taido model, a reggae-inspired, yellow, red, and green gradient fade is used on the collar and heel portion of the shoe and on the “GET MAD” logo embossed on the tongue
