Back to continuing Maestro Knows Monday.
Last time we saw Maestro, as we were watching old episodes so some of you can get caught up, he was chillin’ with Warren G and BJ The Chicago Kid. This time Maestro and BJ end up in Tokyo and Osaka as a part of Anthony Hamilton’s world-wide tour. The coolest thing about this episode is the idea of Japan. I mean the level of eccentricity is amazing, but at the same time they are lightyears ahead. Just look at that 7-11, it seems like it is the most clean, organized store on the planet, look at their uniforms! Ties in singular packaging, crazy icecream and underground malls — it’s the little things like that which make Japan such a interesting place and such a innovative, “ahead of its time” country.
The old Maestro Knows I just described is on the bottom while the new Maestro Knows is on the top. Why? Because the one on the top is new! Isn’t that good enough? Anyways, Maestro is continuing his own world-wide tour of sorts with the adiCup tournament, which provides teams to compete for a chance to go to the World Cup in South Africa. Maestro is in Berlin this go-around, with Phil from BBB (Bread & Butter Berlin) if you remember, and the atmosphere is passionate as usual at the adiCup tournament. Afterwards Maestro visits the N# 74 store — which is the “epitome of how a brand should showcase their product” — and Made Space, two unbelievable (more so applying to the latter location) stores. Finally, as usual, Maestro just visits the city itself and spends some time on the river and eventually goes to a dope spot where World Cup matches can be watched.
